Moonbound & Mission Proud: The Griffin-1 Patch is Here!

Astrobotic’s lunar lander, Griffin, is the largest of its kind since Apollo’s lunar module launched in 1968. During Griffin Mission One (Griffin-1), the spacecraft is slated to land near the Nobile Crater at the Moon’s south pole, an area of great scientific interest for future space exploration.

Astrobot designer Jordan Reynolds has this to say about his vision for Griffin-1’s official mission patch: “It was an honor to design the mission patch that hundreds of dedicated individuals will rally behind for our mission to land on the Moon. Each element carefully woven into the design pays homage to our space program’s history while capturing the spirit and determination of our current mission. As both a memento and an emblem, the patch serves as a reminder of the countless hours of commitment, innovation, and collaboration that make this mission possible.”
